Ways you can promote your services

Here are the ways you can promote your services:

1. You can post about any service in the Jobs & Networking subgroup (which has 322 members). Join here: gironabuddies.com/jobs
2. Girona Buddies has an Instagram account at @gironabuddies. One of the things we do on Instagram is posts of individual people, in the style of Humans of New York. You have to write 300 words about something personal about yourself (why you came to Girona, your biggest challenge in life, something difficult you had to go through in life, etc). At the end, you can add 1–2 sentences to promote your service. We also need a photo.
3. Girona Buddies has a services webpage at https://www.gironabuddies.com/Services. Add yourself directly, or ask Paul to add you

Promoting free events

Free events are different. Because Girona Buddies is community-based and open to everyone (no matter their budget), free events can be promoted more widely than paid events.

If you organise a free event, you can post it to the following places:

• General Chat subgroup
• Upcoming Meetups Noticeboard subgroup (ask an admin)
• Events & Activities in Girona subgroup
• Any other relevant subgroup
• Girona Buddies Facebook page: https://facebook.com/gironabuddies
• Meetup.com (ask Paul to post it there for you)

Centre civic events

If you organise an event at the Centre Civic Barri Vell, they can promote it on the Agenda website (which has 15,000 views every week). Events there have to be free or low-cost, and open to the community.

Not allowed

• No adverts or paid events in the General Chat
• No adverts or paid events in the Girona Foodies subgroup
• No adverts in irrelevant subgroups
